Green Smoothies
You can reduce the risk of many diseases by simply eating enough green vegetables. You can eat them however you like and one of the ways is making Green Smoothies. This way you will get all the fibers with your vegetables and fruits which is very good for your gut health and even losing weight.
If this is your first time making green smoothie you can add more fruits to make it taste better. You can do 30% to 40% vegetables and 70% to 60% fruits. You can of course add whatever vegetables or fruits you like to make your smoothies. Keep in mind, the more fruits, the more flavor you add to your green vegetables.
Here are few ideas:
Spinach and Berries smoothie:
Add 1 cup of cold water, 1 tbs fresh mint, spinach, berries, 1 banana, 3 tbs lemon juice. Place them in a blender and and puree them.
Spinach and Apple smoothie:
Blend 2 cups baby spinach, 1 apple, 1 cucumber, 1 cup water or almond milk, 1 tbs chia seeds, 1 to 2 tbs lemon juice, and if you like few ice cubes.
Kale and Avocado Smoothie:
Blend 1 to 2 cups kale leaves, 1 banana, 1/2 ripe avocado, water or almond milk, lemon juice.
Spinach and mix of fruits Smoothie:
2 cups spinach, 2 cups water, 1 cup mango, 1 cup pineapple, 2 bananas. It is recommended to have at least two of your fruits frozen to give you a more creamy puree.
