So You Gained Weight During Holidays? Here is how to fix it quickly!
Holidays are great opportunity to enjoy gatherings and eat delicious food. Somehow we let ourselves to eat more during holidays and most of us forget our diets. We are invited to a party and it is tempting to eat with others and try all the foods. But then comes the next day. We go on the scale and all the last night’s fun is ruined when we see the number and few pounds that is added to our weight.
This can make us really furious and angry. But don’t worry as there is always a quick fix to one or two days of over eating.
The good news is that the extra pounds are not fat. Fat does not store in your body by one night of over eating. That is water weight in your body. Too much carbs retain water in our body. The more carbs, the more water weight. So knowing this you now know that you can drop those extra pounds easily.
Limiting your carb consumption for the next one or two days helps a lot. You can also do intermittent fasting. Don’t eat anything for 16 hours. During this 16 hours drink water only.
Make sure you do more activities during holidays. We tend to do less activity in holidays by just relaxing and sitting in front of TV watching movies. While this is a great chance to relax make sure you do your daily workouts.
We need to burn the energy that comes into our body through food. If we don’t burn that energy the excess energy stores as fat. Even if you limit your carbs to minimum you will still gain weight if you put more energy in your body than what your body needs. If you don’t eat more than usual just giving up your workouts during holiday can cause weight gain because you are eating as much as when you were active but this time without burning those calories. So make sure to adjust your calorie intake with your activities during holiday.
Drink water, do your workouts, and try intermittent fasting during holidays to make sure you won’t add extra weight. If you want to give yourself a break from your workouts, one hour of walk helps a lot in burning fats while it doesn’t put stress and pressure on your body.
Happy Holidays!
