Why you should try intermittent fasting for weight loss
Intermittent fasting is one of the most important factors in weight loss. It makes your body burn fat while maintains your muscle mass. In intermittent fasting your glucose level drops. Meaning that the sugar in your blood drops when there is no food in your system. When there is no glucose in your body then fat will be used as the source of energy.
Intermittent fasting or IF influences two main hormones in the body. One is Growth hormone which is anti-aging hormone and the most important fat burning hormone, it also protects and builds muscles. And the second one is Insulin. In the presence of insulin you cannot lose weight. It will block growth hormone and also triggers fat storage in your body.

The next level is to add 16 hours of fasting and 8 hour window of eating. You can push back your breakfast to make the 16 hours of fasting or you can eat your dinner early. See what works better for you and make sure not to eat in that 16 hour window. You can of course drink water, tea, and small cup of coffee.
In that 16 hour fasting you let your body use fat to get the energy it needs. If you like you can also do 20 hours of fasting and 4 hour window of eating. This brings you to two meals per day. And now if you add HIIT workouts to this then you are using the maximum fat burning.
Intermittent fasting is not a diet. It is a way of eating and a lifestyle. It takes time to adjust to this new way of eating and you can slowly make this your habit. I believe once you see the results it encourages you to stick to it and after 3 months it becomes your habit. This also is great if you have destroyed your metabolism through dieting. When you go on a diet you basically make your metabolism very slow and that is the reason when you come out of diet you will gain all the weight back.
